Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2, 2026

Wellevate ("Wellevate," "we," "us," or "our") builds a calm space for reflection, rituals, and personal growth. Your inner world should stay yours. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who helps us run the Service, and the choices you have.

It applies to the Wellevate iOS app, Android app, and the websites at wellevateapp.com and app.wellevateapp.com (together, the "Service").

The short version

We collect only what we need to run Wellevate: your account details if you create one, the wellness content you choose to write (moods, journals, rituals, intentions, wins, Sol chats), and basic technical data so the app stays reliable. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your journal or Sol chats for advertising. You can delete your account from Settings at any time.

Information we collect

Information you give us.

  • Account details if you save your progress: email, and the name or profile your sign-in provider shares. You can sign in with email, Apple, or Google. If you use Apple or Google, we receive the basic profile those services send (typically name and email).
  • Guest identity if you start without an account. We create a private anonymous ID so your practice can stay on this device and, if you later save an account, come with you. A guest is still a signed-in user on our systems, just without an email.
  • Onboarding answers you choose to share, such as a first name, focus, or preferences, so the app can greet you properly.
  • Wellness content you create: mood check-ins, journal entries, rituals and reflections, intentions, daily wins, mantras, and notification preferences. This is yours. We process it only to show it back to you and to let Sol answer with relevant context.
  • Sol conversations: the messages you send and the replies Sol returns, plus a compact memory profile so a new thread can remember what already matters. Sol is a support buddy, not a clinician.

Information collected automatically.

  • Device and technical data such as device type, operating system, app version, language, and crash or diagnostic logs we need to keep the Service working.
  • Usage data in a limited, product sense (which screens load, whether a purchase succeeded). We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell this.

Information from your device, only with permission.

  • Notifications. If you turn daily reminders on, we store a device push token so we can send the pings you asked for. Reminders start off.
  • App Lock / biometrics. Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode can lock the app on your phone. That check happens on your device. We never receive your fingerprint or face data.

Wellevate does not connect to Apple Health, Google Fit, or other health-kit platforms, and it does not collect heart rate, steps, sleep stages, or similar sensor data.

How we use your information

  • To provide, personalize, and maintain the Service, including your account, content, and Sol.
  • To remember enough of your practice that Sol can answer like someone who was listening.
  • To send reminders you have opted into, and no more than you asked for.
  • To process subscriptions and lifetime access through the App Store or Google Play.
  • To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, fix bugs, and understand whether the product is working.
  • To comply with law and respond to valid legal requests.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use your journal, moods, or Sol chats to train public AI models for advertising, and we do not rent your list to anyone.

Who helps us run Wellevate

A short list of processors handle data on our behalf, under agreements that require them to protect it:

  • Google Firebase for sign-in and cloud storage of your account and app content.
  • Cloudflare for hosting this website, the web app, and the private Sol proxy.
  • OpenAI, LLC to generate Sol's replies. We send OpenAI, through our Cloudflare proxy: the message you typed, a short memory summary of prior Sol chats, and compact excerpts of journal, mood, ritual, win, and intention notes you already saved. This happens only after you tap Continue with Sol in the app, and only when you send a Sol message. We do not sell those messages. OpenAI processes them on our behalf; Wellevate remains responsible for that data. See OpenAI's privacy policy at openai.com/policies/privacy-policy.
  • RevenueCat to know whether a subscription or lifetime purchase is active. Card numbers stay with Apple or Google. We never see full payment details.
  • Expo for app delivery, over-the-air updates, and push notification infrastructure.
  • Apple and Google when you sign in with them, or when you buy through their stores. Those purchases are also subject to their terms.

Sol and OpenAI

Sol is an in-app support buddy. It is not a clinician. To generate a reply, Wellevate sends data to OpenAI, LLC, a third-party AI service, through our own Cloudflare proxy. We never embed an OpenAI key in the app.

What is sent: the message you just typed; a short memory summary of earlier Sol chats; compact excerpts of journal entries, mood notes, ritual reflections, wins, and intentions you already saved in Wellevate.

When: only after you tap Continue with Sol in the app (we ask before the first message), and only when you send a Sol message. If you tap Not now, nothing is sent.

How it is collected: you type the message. The other notes were already saved by you in the app and stored with Google Firebase.

Use: to write Sol's reply for you. We do not sell this data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not use it to train public models for ads.

Who receives it: OpenAI, LLC (openai.com), as our processor. Wellevate remains responsible for the data we send them. Their privacy policy: openai.com/policies/privacy-policy.

How we protect your data

Traffic to Wellevate uses TLS. Your content lives in a project that only your signed-in user can read and write. Optional App Lock keeps the phone screen private. No system is perfectly secure. We work to limit access and to delete what we no longer need.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account in Settings, we remove your personal content from our active systems, except limited records we must keep for law, tax, fraud, or security. Backups age out on a rolling schedule.

Your rights and choices

  • Access and correction. You can view and edit your profile, journal, rituals, and other content in the app.
  • Deletion. You can delete individual entries, or delete your entire account from Settings, which removes your personal content from our active systems.
  • Permissions. You can turn off notifications and App Lock any time in the app or your device settings.
  • Marketing. We do not run a third-party ad network against your practice. You can ignore or unsubscribe from any optional email we send.

Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, UK, or California), you may have extra rights, including the right to know, delete, correct, or appeal, and the right to lodge a complaint with a local authority. We honor those requests. Email hello@wellevateapp.com.

We do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those words are used in the CCPA / CPRA.

Children

Wellevate is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum digital-consent age where you live), and we do not knowingly collect data from them. Sol is intended for people who can use a wellness app on their own. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.

International users

We are based in the United States. Your information may be processed in the US and in other countries where our providers operate. We take steps so that it still receives appropriate protection.

Changes

We may update this policy. For material changes we will update the date above and, where it makes sense, mention it in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
